We're less than a month away from the summer equinox (June 20) when the northern hemisphere experiences more sun exposure than any other day of the year. It's a bit of a holiday for us and our solar customers. 🌞 While it may be too late to have a solar project installed in time to reap the benefits of this year's summer equinox, we are booking solar installations for later this summer. https://lnkd.in/gdESY87W Reach out to us right away if you are interested in a Blue Horizon Energy assessment of your facility which will explain the impact our solar solution can have on your energy expenses. Any project installed in 2024 is also eligible for the 30% federal investment tax credit in the same year. #Minnesota #commercial #realestate #solar #solarpower #cleanenergy #business

We would like to extend a moment of gratitude for all who have fought for and served our United States. While we spend time with our families and friends today, we will not forget to honor the courage and commitment of our soldiers—past and present—and remember those brave soldiers who have given everything. We thank you. #MemorialDay #HonorTheFallen

More people should know the results a quality solar project can deliver. Check out Hal K.'s post 👇
Real Customers. Real Results. Neil made his first investment in solar back in 2019. His experience was so good, he made the investment again in 2021. He highlights the great work Jon, Steve, Ryan and the rest of the field team that constructed both of his projects. The quality and attention to detail is still top of mind 5 years later. He’s also very happy with the outcome, the results. Since 2019, he’s offset more than 260,000 kilowatt hours, saving nearly $32,000 in energy expenses since. Combined with tax credits and depreciation, his project will pay for itself within the next couple of years. Looking for a clean energy solution to your consistent energy bill hikes - need some flexibility in tax planning? We should chat!

On the heels of last week's ribbon-cutting event, we have a new short that explores why cities like Morris and Wayzata are adding solar to city-owned buildings. 🎬 For businesses, solar is appealing in part due to its ability to lower energy expenses and the tax opportunities it creates. But for non-tax paying entities? The goals are a bit different. Fortunately, solar projects are adaptable, and when we work with a client we focus on building their systems around their desired goals.

A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who joined us in Wayzata to celebrate the completion of solar projects on the roofs of five city-owned buildings. It was a perfect day to get together and our whole team was proud to have helped the city make these sustainable energy projects come to life. A special thanks is due to all our partners and collaborators in the City of Wayzata, and a big Thank You to the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce for organizing the ribbon-cutting ceremony!

The day has arrived! The ribbon-cutting will take place outside the public library in the garden area. Will we see you there at 4 PM?

Let's start this week with a quick bit of solar accounting. 🤓 This chart represents the power generated by one of our customers' solar projects this past Saturday. For this customer, we took advantage of unused space on the roof of their commercial property to install 326 solar panels. Each bar in this chart represents the kilowatt-hours of energy produced in that 15-minute increment. So from this chart what can we see? 1️⃣ Saturday was a beautiful day. Nothing impeded the solar array from delivering at its fullest potential. 2️⃣ The array generated 1,010 kWh of electricity in one day. This isn't a surprise—every array's size is matched to the energy goals of that facility. While 1,000+ kWh of power in a day may be far off from what your building uses, it perfectly matches the needs of this building. 3️⃣ If you were to stand on that roof and watch the array, you could be forgiven for not recognizing the power being produced in front of you. You can see the water churning through a hydroelectric dam, and you can see the propellers spin on a wind turbine, but solar panels sit perfectly still and silently produce incredible amounts of power. To take this one step further, look at how this would apply to your energy bill from last month. How many kilowatt-hours of power did your building need? If you knocked 1,010 kWh off that total for every day of the month, how much less would your energy bill be? #minnesota #solar #sustainability #renewableenergy #commercial #realestate

These 760 solar panels are working in unison to deliver 395,242 kilowatt-hours of power in year one. That's about the average power supplied to 35 homes in a year. If solar's real-world impact is something of a mystery to you, here is the impact: Over the life of this array, this building's owner will be spending 1.3 million dollars less in energy bills. All thanks to 760 panels, a team of talented installers, and some smart planning by a dedicated clean energy partner. #solar #minnesota #minneapolis #sustainability #renewableenergy

Food for thought: When it comes to commercial property, how is roof space any different from floor space? Every square foot is precious. Make use of it all. #Minnesota #commercial #realestate #solar #solarpower #cleanenergy #business
